Annular BOP is an important part of well-control equipments. It mainly applies to control wellhead pressure during drilling workover operations and formation testing etc to prevent well blowout effectively and realize safe construction. Annular BOP shall be equipped with hydraulic control system. It is usually used with ram BOP and also independently.
Drilling spool is designed to connect the BOP and wellhead, both side outlets of spool can be connected with valves or manifold to prevent blowout. All drilling spools are designed and manufactured as per API Spec 16A and 6A, conforming to NACE MR 0175 standard for anti- H2S.
